Notice: Applications are now being accepted for the latest Emergency Unemployment Compensation extensions.

• The two new extensions were passed by Congress and signed by President Obama on Nov. 6, 2009.
• If you have exhausted all of your UI benefit weeks, you may be eligible for payments retroactive to Nov. 8, 2009. A link will be available within the online claims application to allow requests of eligible weeks retroactive to that time.
• Claimants should wait at least two business days after filing to request payments for prior weeks online.
• Those who are currently drawing unemployment benefits that will exhaust on or prior to Dec. 26, 2009 will be automatically enrolled in this latest extension.
• Those eligible for Tier 3 will also be notified by mail.

All claimants should now file claims or request benefit checks through the main online application.

Only those drawing regular Unemployment Insurance (UI) or Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) can request checks via the telephone.

• If you are requesting Emergency Unemployment Compensation check, you must call 866-291-2926 or do so online.

Information about Extended Benefits (EB). 

• If you are requesting an Extended Benefits check, you must do so online. These benefits cannot be requested by phone.

Important Notice: As a result of the Economic Stimulus Package, recently signed into law, all claimants eligible for Unemployment Programs will receive an additional check of $25 for each week of benefits beginning the week of February 22, 2009. Read more about the additional benefit check.
