file claims or request benefit checks through the main

application.
Only those
drawing regular Unemployment Insurance (UI) or Emergency
Unemployment Compensation (EUC) can request checks via the
telephone.

Notice: As a result of
the Economic Stimulus Package signed into law by President
Obama, all claimants eligible for Unemployment Insurance
benefits will receive an additional check in the amount of
$25 for each week of benefits beginning the week of February
22, 2009, payable until Dec. 11, 2010. The benefit is
payable with all UI programs; regular Unemployment
Insurance, Extended Benefits and TRA. However, If you filed
your initial UI claim after May 29, 2010 you will not be
eligible for the additional benefit. If you currently have
taxes withheld from your benefits, they will be withheld
from this additional check as well. You are not required to
do anything extra to receive this additional check. Simply
request your benefits as usual. |
