To file your claim for Emergency Unemployment
Compensation 2008 (EUC08)


  1. From the OET Home Page, click on Unemployment Claim Filing and/or Unemployment Benefits - Internet Claim Filing. These links will take you to an Unemployment Insurance informational page. Once you've read this page, click on the 'I Agree' button at the bottom.

 
  1. You are now on the Office of Employment and Training (OET) Benefit Management Page. You may enter your Social Security Number (9 digits) and PIN (4digits). Click 'Log In' to continue.

  2. Note: If you have forgotten your PIN, you must report to your nearest Local Office with a photo ID to have it reset.

 
  1. Once you have Logged In, the Benefits Management Home page will display your name and services for you to choose from. You will click in the blue area, under 'File a Claim' to begin the claim filing process.

    File a Claim:

     If you need to file an initial claim or reopen an existing claim click here

 
  1. The following screen, entitled Claim Filing, contains details about information you must have prior to filing your claim. Once you have read the information and are prepared, click the next button.

 
  1. The following screen, entitled Base Period and Benefit Year Dates, details information regarding the dates relative to your claim.
  2. Once you have read all date information relative to your claim, click the 'Next' button.
 
  1. You will now begin to answer questions. Please answer all questions provided to you by the system.
 
  1. At the end of the question & answer process, you will certify that you have answered all questions completely and honestly by entering your initials and name on the last page, entitled Rights & Responsibilities.
 
  1. A confirmation page will be displayed to provide you with a date to call in and request your first extended benefits check.
Requesting your Bi-Weekly Check

  1. You will request your bi-weekly check by calling the Voice Response Unit (VRU) at 866-291-2926
 
    1. At the prompt, select option 1 to file your bi-weekly claim.
    2. Enter your Social Security Number (9-digits) and verify by pressing #1.
    3. Enter your PIN (4-digits)
      Note: Your PIN will be the same one you used when to filing your EUC claim.
    4. Once you have logged in, answer all questions provided.
 
  1. The first date, to call the VRU, was given to you on the confirmation page at the end of the claim filing process. If you are still eligible for Unemployment Insurance, you can continue to request a check every other Sunday after your first Call-In.
 
  1. Information concerning your Extended Benefits claim will not be available until after you have requested your first check.
  1. The VRU is available Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST and Sunday 2:00PM to 9:00PM EST.
