NOTICE:  Important information about the Federal Unemployment Extension Bill

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: As a result of the recent announcement of the state furlough plan, the Office of Employment and Training would like to share the following information:

It is anticipated that state employees on furlough will not qualify for unemployment benefits for the following reasons:

  • All wages earned will be considered during the week in which the furlough day occurs; and
  • Wages earned will be deducted $.80 for every $1 earned from any benefit amount, most likely preventing you from being eligible.

Additional information will be posted on this site as it becomes available.
